About Barnegat Bay Bulkhead
Barnegat Bay Bulkhead is a locally owned marine construction contractor serving the back-bay lagoon communities of Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. We repair, replace, and build bulkheads and seawalls, and we do the anchoring, shoreline, dock, and lift work that keeps a lagoon waterfront in one piece, because on this bay the wall is the whole reason the yard is dry.
We are not a foundation-repair franchise, and we say so plainly. National brands chase the words "seawall repair" here and sell polyurethane foam injected into the ground behind a wall. That is a soil product, not a marine repair. It does not reset a tie-back the ice or a storm pulled, rebuild a scoured toe, or replace split sheathing, and those are what fail on a bay wall. We rebuild the structure, which is the only thing that holds a lagoon.
We are licensed and insured in New Jersey. We quote every job in writing, priced by the linear foot, before work starts. We replace tired 1960s timber with vinyl sheet pile that does not rot, split in the ice, or corrode, set tie-backs and deadmen in ground that actually holds, and raise caps to your town's post-Sandy elevation where the standard calls for it. We build to what the NJDEP, CAFRA, and the tidelands rules allow. And we tell you plainly when a repair is better money than a replacement, or when a living shoreline beats another wall, because the long way around is not how we want to earn your work.
